World-ranked. Historically significant. The courses that define a Golf East Anglia journey — each a destination in its own right.
Links · Brancaster · North Norfolk
Royal West Norfolk
Ranked 42nd in Britain & Ireland. Reached across a tidal causeway — access varies with the tides. Strictly limited visitor numbers. One of England's most extraordinary links, and the course that anchors almost every GEA itinerary.
Links · Hunstanton · North West Norfolk
Hunstanton Golf Club
Consistently in England's Top 20 and a regular qualifying venue for national championships. Classic out-and-back links routing along the Wash, with exceptional par threes and a back nine that settles scores. One of the finest traditional links in England.
Clifftop Links · Cromer · North Norfolk
Royal Cromer
Founded 1888. Designed with the involvement of Old Tom Morris, JH Taylor and James Braid. Perched on the highest clifftop on England's east coast, with the North Sea visible from nearly every hole. Visually arresting, genuinely demanding — and more accessible than its stature might suggest.
Course guide →Clifftop · Sheringham · North Norfolk
Sheringham Golf Club
Established 1892. A clifftop course of real character perched between the cliff edge and the town, with some of the most dramatic drops and views on the Norfolk coast. Ranked in England's Top 100. Shorter than its neighbours but technically demanding — particularly around the greens and bunkers. Pairs naturally with Royal Cromer.
Well-established courses of genuine quality — excellent additions to any multi-day itinerary. Strong enough to stand alone; even better alongside the Signature courses.
Heathland · Thetford · Breckland
Thetford Golf Club
Designed by James Braid and Phillip Mackenzie Ross, widely regarded as one of the finest heathland courses in East Anglia. Mature pine, oak and birch frame holes that change direction constantly — a proper test year-round thanks to excellent drainage. Pairs beautifully with Royal Worlington for a Breckland golf day.
Heathland · Swaffham · Breckland
Swaffham Golf Club
An absolute gem of a heathland course on Norfolk Breckland heath — one reviewer compared it favourably to Woburn. 190 acres, superb greens, no water hazards, exceptional drainage. Established 1922, expanded to 18 holes in 2001 with seamless integration. Genuinely welcoming to visitors and outstanding value.
Links · Great Yarmouth · East Norfolk
Great Yarmouth & Caister
Norfolk's oldest golf club, founded 1882 — and the Home of Bogey, the actual birthplace of bogey golf in 1890. A traditional links laid out through and around the Great Yarmouth racecourse, where golfers cross under the rails mid-round. Designed by Tom Dunn of North Berwick. Historically fascinating, genuinely playable, and unlike anywhere else in the game.
Parkland · Norwich
Royal Norwich
Recently relocated and redesigned by Ross McMurray to championship standard at Weston Park — stretching to 7,209 yards from the tips, officially opened by Ian Poulter in 2019. The strongest course in the Norwich area and the right choice for groups basing themselves in the city.
Parkland · West Norfolk
King's Lynn Golf Club
Regarded as the gateway to North Norfolk's golf coast — a woodland parkland with mature tree-lined fairways and a genuine test of accuracy. The 10th hole is regarded as one of the best in the East of England. Convenient for groups combining west Norfolk courses with Hunstanton.
Accessible, enjoyable and well-run — ideal for rounding out a longer stay or for groups who want variety alongside the marquee rounds.

Compact, friendly and enjoyable — set in the heart of Norfolk with a fast-running links feel despite being inland. Excellent for a relaxed round between the coastal courses, and good value.
Resort Parkland · Hunstanton
Heacham Manor
The on-site course at Heacham Manor Hotel — 18 holes influenced by the Heacham River and four lakes. The visual 7th is the standout hole. Ideal for groups staying at the hotel who want golf without travelling.
Parkland · Norwich
Barnham Broom
Two courses played along the Yare River Valley — the Valley course is the more senior layout, parkland with water to navigate and good elevation. Hotel and leisure facilities make it a complete stay & play option south-west of Norwich.
Parkland · Norwich
Eaton Golf Club
A well-regarded parkland course close to Norwich city centre — a good test framed by mature trees with a sandy heathland feel and excellent greens. One of Norfolk's better-kept inland secrets, popular with serious county golfers and well worth a round for groups based in the city.
Hotel Parkland · Norwich
