Links · Brancaster · North Norfolk

Royal West Norfolk

Ranked 42nd in Britain & Ireland. Reached across a tidal causeway — access varies with the tides. Strictly limited visitor numbers. One of England's most extraordinary links, and the course that anchors almost every GEA itinerary.

Links · Hunstanton · North West Norfolk

Hunstanton Golf Club

Consistently in England's Top 20 and a regular qualifying venue for national championships. Classic out-and-back links routing along the Wash, with exceptional par threes and a back nine that settles scores. One of the finest traditional links in England.

Royal Cromer — golfers on the clifftop at sunset

Clifftop Links · Cromer · North Norfolk

Royal Cromer

Founded 1888. Designed with the involvement of Old Tom Morris, JH Taylor and James Braid. Perched on the highest clifftop on England's east coast, with the North Sea visible from nearly every hole. Visually arresting, genuinely demanding — and more accessible than its stature might suggest.

Clifftop · Sheringham · North Norfolk

Sheringham Golf Club

Established 1892. A clifftop course of real character perched between the cliff edge and the town, with some of the most dramatic drops and views on the Norfolk coast. Ranked in England's Top 100. Shorter than its neighbours but technically demanding — particularly around the greens and bunkers. Pairs naturally with Royal Cromer.

Thetford Golf Club

Designed by James Braid and Phillip Mackenzie Ross, widely regarded as one of the finest heathland courses in East Anglia. Mature pine, oak and birch frame holes that change direction constantly — a proper test year-round thanks to excellent drainage. Pairs beautifully with Royal Worlington for a Breckland golf day.

Links · Great Yarmouth · East Norfolk

Great Yarmouth & Caister

Norfolk's oldest golf club, founded 1882 — and the Home of Bogey, the actual birthplace of bogey golf in 1890. A traditional links laid out through and around the Great Yarmouth racecourse, where golfers cross under the rails mid-round. Designed by Tom Dunn of North Berwick. Historically fascinating, genuinely playable, and unlike anywhere else in the game.
